Kumho Tyres MSA British Rallycross Championship, 22.09.09

Pat Doran is the new British Rallycross champion, the Ford Fiesta driver putting the title beyond the reach of his rivals after winning rounds six and seven at Pembrey last weekend.
The class awards in the Kumho Tyres BRC were also settled at Pembrey. James Bird added enough points to deny season-long rival Julian Godfrey the possibility to win in the final round.
Also going to Mallory Park on October 18 with the title already safe is NGK Stock Hatch class racer Tony Lynch who has his second title in three years. The ‘1-A’ sub-class in Stock Hatch is also settled in favour of Toby Crocker.
The Bill Gwynne Rallyschool Junior Rallycross Championship is also decided, Brad Bailey far enough ahead of Simon Quinn that he will remain top of the championship even if Quinn wins the final round.
The BTRDA Clubmans series remains to be resolved and carries double points on its final round.
