An emphatic victory in the final round of the Kumho Tyres MSA British Rallycross Championship earned Liam Doran (Sittingbourne) enough points to move from fifth to second in the final championship standings. With Pat Doran (Winkleigh) already having secured the championship, the result produced the first ever father-son one-two result in the championship’s 33-year history.

Doran Jnr. led the Superfinal from start to finish, dominating the last race of the year as he had the rest of the event in which he was clearly the fastest driver. Liam’s third event win of the year made it seven wins from eight events for Doran Motorsport. The only other driver to win this year, Steve Hill (Aylesbury) lost out to Doran Jnr. in the battle for second place, the Mitsubishi Lancer driver failing to qualify for the Superfinal after losing time with an incident in the A final.
Ollie O’Donovan (Iver) passed Pat Doran to finish second in the Superfinal, Andy Scott (Dumfries) continuing his impressive graduation to the Supercar class with fourth place while David Binks (Newcastle upon Tyne) completed the season with fifth place here, a result that brought him up to fifth in the championship at the end of his most successful season to date.
